Our story began over a decade ago when I, Jamie, first discovered the art of working with leather. What started as a personal fascination soon transformed into a lifelong passion. In 2019, driven by a desire to share this passion with others, I founded Saltwater Leather Co. Little did I know that our family would play an integral role in shaping our company's identity.

During the challenging times of the pandemic, my son, Chase, found solace and inspiration in the craft of leather working. His dedication and creative spirit breathed new life into our endeavor, leading to the birth of Saltwater Leather Co. Together, with my youngest son, Roman, who lends his talent as our pattern maker and product designer, we formed a tight-knit team, united by our shared love for craftsmanship and our devotion to the art of leather working. My husband Lance, and Daughter Lauren's unwavering support have kept us motivated to pursue excellence everyday.

Living on the coast, we have always felt an undeniable connection to the ocean. It’s the place we go in good times and bad. As surfers, enthusiasts, and ocean conservationists, we found that "Saltwater" perfectly encapsulated our shared love and respect for the sea. It became the one thing that binds us all, representing our values and the spirit of our company.
